The awarding ceremony for the winners and runners up of the All-Russian competition of regional media “Sports regions - sports Russia”, held in 2015, was held at the Ministry of Sports of Russia on April 26, 2016.
The awarding ceremony was held by the Deputy Ministers of Sports of the Russian Federation Marina Tomilova and Pavel Kolobkov.
The competition is held to attract media attention to the construction and modernization of sports facilities, and the development of sports infrastructure in the regions. In 2015, representatives of over 200 regional and municipal editorial media offices from 60 regions of the country took part in the competition.
The jury included famous athletes, sports journalists, media editors, and representatives of the Russian Ministry of Sports. The jury was headed by Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Pavel Novikov.
The winners and the runners-up received diplomas, memorable plaques, as well as valuable gifts - tablets, cameras, and laptops.
The organizing committee expressed gratitude to the Magnum company for funding the prize fund and taking part in the preparation to the award ceremony.
