Project Description
On December 4, the biggest Ice Palace in Yamal - a branch of the Avangard hockey academy - opened in a festive atmosphere in Tarko Sale, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The Ice Palace was built by Magnum as part of a socio-economic inter-regional project. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of Gazprom Neft Alexander Dyukov and the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Kobylkin.
The Avangard ice center, built by Magnum as part of the social program of Gazprom Neft and the government of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, is the only sports venue in the region that has an Olympic-scale ice ring equipped with a cutting edge ice reinforcing system. The sports center opened on Dec 4 is the first branch of the Avangard hockey academy (based on the Avangard hockey club), with the head branch in Omsk. The objective of this project is to create a hockey education system for children and youth, which have a network of branches in different regions. Similar sports venues will be built in Muravlenko and Noyabrsk.
The Tarko-Sale branch has an area of 9, 000 m2 and consists of three parts. The first is the universal hall with two grounds (for competitions and for training), and stands that can accommodate up to 280 people, including visitors with limited mobility. Aston steel elements were used in this project.

The second part includes sports facilities and administrative facilities: canteen, team changing rooms ad drying solutions, referee rooms, sound system control rooms, score display control room, and the central control room, as well as two gyms, strength training and aerobics halls, and a conference room.

The third group includes the 30х60 m indoor universal skating rink. The rink can be used for hockey or other winter sports: figure skating, short track, or public skating (of up to 120 people simultaneously).
